NIAGRA FALLS!
Atlanta is like two New Yorks stacked on top of each other. I’ve never seen a city so busteling that it litterally has a subway system just to get onto the other side of an airport.
I’d be careful, I’m wondering just how real you’re aiming at. As in all countries, there are bad characters, and you do not want to put yourself at risk. Don’t search for trouble. Be careful at all times, no matter where you travel. Never hitch hike. Your adult relatives here should be able to provide you with good advice, so you’ll have a safe enjoyable trip……….Niagra Falls is in upper New York State, at the Canadian border. If history interests you, you might want to visit the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument in southern Montana, Gettysburg Battlefield in Pennsylvania,
the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas…..the Bird Cage Theatre in Tombstone, Arizona , a Saloon where Doc Holiday, Wyatt and Virgil Earp often played cards and dealt with trouble. It’s the original building, haunted, as is Allen Street. You should be able to get plenty of ideas about where to go, on the internet. My favorite search engine http://www.info.com contains input from over 7 other search engines. At ” http://www.info.com ” you can type in any phrase you can think of, and it will give you a list of websites pertaining to whatever it is you are looking for.
The real America is in the Midwest.
It’s a “red flag” for your plans that you need to ask, “What state is that in?” and that you say, “… if my mom will let me.”
You’d need to know your geography if you want to wander around the country. And, if you have to ask your mom, you’re probably not old enough or mature enough or have enough money to do so.
Take a look at some guidebooks and geography books and gather some information about places you think sound interesting. And save up some money. This will take you quite a while, because even if you’re just going to “wing it”, you need to know what your options are and have at least a rough plan of where you want to go. And you’ll need to know what your options are in case things don’t go the way you might want them to.
There’s a book called, “A Walk Across America” and also “Blue Highways”, among many others, that you might find interesting.
